What do you do at Ann’s?
I search for and create new wedding invitations and accessories, from the ring pillow for your ceremony to the favor boxes and toasting flutes for your reception. I keep a close eye on the latest trends to make sure Ann’s has everything you need for your perfect, budget-savvy wedding!
Why do you love it?
It’s exciting to discover a new trend in wedding or to read what Ann’s brides are looking for, then bring that to Ann’s through new products. The challenge to translate a trend or a request into an invitation or accessory requires creativity, and I love seeing the physical result at the end of the process. Most of all, I love working with brides because I truly believe in the importance of all the little details that can make a wedding exciting and unique!
What does cheap mean to you?
I think “cheap” means being smart and creative with what you have. Cheap doesn’t mean you have to settle for less than what you want; it means taking the time to seek out resourceful options...and you can be the only one to know it was “cheap” to pull off.
What do you bring to the blog?
Experience and knowledge. I have been a designer, an art director and a creative director. Years of studying color, trends and listening to what brides want has given me a vast knowledge of wedding event solutions. Every challenge or request offers opportunity for creativity and fresh ideas. No wedding is ever the same, every bride is unique and finding that one element that makes it exclusively hers is exciting.
What is your personality/style?
I tend to be drawn to clean, modern and contemporary designs. I am passionate about color and the stories that color can tell. I am somewhat of a minimalist, so the details are geared towards impactful versus multiple… the unexpected… the wow!
What is something the reader might not expect about you?
I have more running shoes than dress shoes. My work may revolve around the latest in wedding trends, color and fashion, but I love the great outdoors: sailing, skiing, running, biking, swimming and kyaking,
