Do you feel like your wedding invitations or wedding favors are a little boring? Can’t find that perfect finishing touch to help them coordinate with your wedding style? Worried about spending too much?

We totally understand! That’s why I put together this spread featuring one of my favorite Ann’s wedding invitations. I chose some wedding favors and decorations to coordinate as well as a variety of affordable embellishments in the hopes that you’ll find some inspiration for your own wedding.

Simply Modern Wedding Look

1. These personalized wedding napkins are printed in silver foil with names and wedding date. Wedding napkins are practical additions to any reception, but they also double as wedding reception decorations because they add such amazing color for an affordable price.

2. Ribbon, ribbon, ribbon. I can’t say how important it is to have a spool (or two, or three!) of curling ribbon in your wedding colors. You’ll find so many uses for it, such as accenting wedding favors, adding to bouquets or hanging paper lanterns.

3. Paper lanterns are inexpensive and they look amazing as wedding reception decorations for a variety of wedding styles. Use them indoors, outdoors, hanging from rafters or hanging from trees.

4. Solid colored, two-piece favor boxes with 3/8” satin ribbon in a complementary color are sure to impress your wedding guests. Especially when they open them to find a delicious treat like chocolate truffles or saltwater taffy.

5. Favor labels printed with your names add that perfect personalized touch to your wedding favors. We chose white with a colorful imprint for a splash of color on these small white treat boxes.

6. Clear favor boxes allow you to choose a treat that matches your wedding colors — leaving an impression on wedding guests is all in the details! Add a favor label for an easy, personalized accent.

7. Personalized white favor bags are unbelievably easy! All you have to do is choose your foil color and personalization (designs are available), fill with treats like cookies or dessert bars, add a satin ribbon accent and you’re done.

8. Clear favor bags are your best option when creating favors that fit your wedding theme and/or colors. Why? Because they become more than a wedding favor, they become a part of your wedding reception decorations. Add a favor label and 5/8” satin ribbon to complete the look.

9. Patterns are super hot right now! This bright and bold, Simply Mod Wedding Invitation features a one-of-a-kind pattern and you get to pick your own color combination. We chose Palm and Marigold. We also chose a modern typestyle for a clean look and a sparkling aqua rhinestone sticker to accent the couple’s names.

These are all great ideas, but the best ideas come from your own creativity. Play around, be bold, embellish!

Create a unique wedding reception with a personal touch guests will never forget — ooh la color™ photo napkins will wow your guests! Use your favorite photo to complete these 4-color napkins personalized with your names and wedding date.

Photo Napkin

Photo napkins come in two sizes: 5” x 5” beverage napkins and 7” x 7” dinner napkins.

We recommend purchasing 2-3 beverage napkins and/or 1-2 dinner napkins per guest, but don’t think you have to purchase all photo napkins. Choose a solid colored napkin in a coordinating color. This will lower the cost and add a pop of color to your reception venue.

Beverage napkins are perfect for placing at dessert tables, candy bar tables and cocktail bars. Dinner napkins look great at each place setting or on the buffet tables and food stations.

Can you picture photo napkins at your wedding?

In our experience, we’ve noticed a few important wedding items that are consistently forgotten. Make sure you have these wedding must-haves, and don’t worry if your wedding is fast approaching. These items are easy to order and will arrive quickly.

Last Minute Wedding Items

1. Wedding Programs

Somehow in the shuffle of wedding planning, wedding programs are often overlooked. Brides tend to think that because they’ve forgotten about them, they’ll have to settle for something simple and plain. Not true. Usually there’s enough time to order stylish, affordable wedding programs that are professionally printed. (See our shipping details below for timeframes.)

2. Wedding Napkins

Brides will often decide to purchase wedding napkins as a last-minute way to boost the color and décor at their wedding reception. Wedding napkins are vibrant, personalized and easy to add to any venue. You’ll be amazed at the impact they have on the overall look!

3. Gratuity Envelopes

Gratuity is a must, and although couples may remember to include it in the wedding budget, they often forget about how they will present it to the officiant, musicians, etc. Gratuity envelopes are an attractive, tasteful way to do so.

4. Thank You Cards

Although couples don’t usually forget to order thank you cards, they will often forget to order enough or to reorder in time. Thank you cards should go out as you receive gifts before the wedding and you might choose to use them for vendors and service providers on your wedding day. By the time you end up writing thank yous for gifts received at the wedding, you may be running low. Keep an eye on your thank yous and if in doubt, order extras. Depending on the design, you’ll be able to use them long after the wedding.

A note on shipping: most orders are ready to ship within 3-5 business days of ordering. Ground shipping can take up to 5 business days, but we also offer next-day, second-day and third-day shipping for an additional cost. See our shipping information for more details.

I love adding personalized napkins to my tables because they help add a splash of color, they’re inexpensive and you can personalize them for FREE.

The fall napkin colors I’ve selected are Dark Sage, Mocha, Orange, Sunflower, Ecru and Black. Choose any color napkin and add your design cut, single initial plus 2 lines of personalization or just the personalization. Adding fun verses that fit the event has become very popular.

If you’re looking for cheap party decorations, napkins are an inexpensive extra that make a BIG impact. Use them at weddings, parties or make unique, personal gifts out of them. You’d be surprised at the great gift ideas you’ll come up with.

Tip: Order a bunch of napkins in white with just your single initial (last-name initial) in gold or silver foil. These are my “go-to” napkins when I have guests drop by last minute.

Our design team has put together a few of our inexpensive wedding reception decorations to create a look that’s adorable, romantic and cheap! Here’s what we did:

ABB_DecoratingBlogWeb_1-11

The Place:

Outdoor weddings are a big favorite of brides on a budget since public parks are usually very inexpensive, oftentimes free, to reserve. We chose a nearby public park with a charming, lakeside gazebo — the perfect place for performing nuptials or for highlighting the cake table (as shown here) during an outdoor reception.

The Décor: We’ve chosen four basic wedding reception decorations from Ann’s to create the look: (1) tissue bells , (2) tissue garland, white tulle and colored (3) table covers. We’ve also highlighted a few coordinating items not shown in the gazebo setup, such as ruffled (3) table skirts, (4) colored paper plates, paper cups and personalized napkins for that perfect finishing touch! And, let’s not forget the clear acrylic cake stand.

The Look:

We wanted to create a look that was soft and romantic, yet popped with color. By using white tulle as our foundation, we were able to add touches of pink and fuchsia without over saturating the décor. We placed small and large tissue bells in clusters alongside the gazebo entrances to create a welcoming and romantic feel. Plus, we lined the white tulle with strands of tissue garland to add another level of texture. If you’re planning an evening affair, accent the white tulle with strands of elegant white lights.

For coordinating reception tables, browse the table covers, table skirts, dinnerware and napkins for the perfect colors to coordinate with your wedding. Not only will you impress guests with beautiful wedding reception decorations, they’ll love your perfectly coordinated reception tables.

By the way, bringing this look indoors is simple. Drape tulle and tissue garland along the head table and/or over reception hall entrances. Then place small tissue bell clusters on each end of the head table, one above the bride and groom and one at each entrance for a look that’s oh-so-cute!

Of course, these are just ideas. A beautiful wedding on a budget is all about creativity, so let your imagination do all the work.
